City updates Moving Forward plan to align with B.C.’s Restart plan

With COVID-19 vaccinations underway in May 2021, the Province announced a new four-step Restart plan based on data and guidance from the BC Centre for Disease Control and B.C.’s Provincial Health Officer. To move through the steps, the Province is looking at measures such as declining COVID-19 case counts, an increasing vaccination rate in adults, and a declining rate of COVID-19 hospitalizations.
In response, the City has updated its Moving Forward plan, originally developed in May 2020, to align with the Province’s four-step plan. Our updated plan provides information on the status of City services and programs, following the new provincial timeline. Visit portmoody.ca/movingforward to find out more.
Throughout the pandemic, the Province has offered guidance and issued directives and ministerial orders to help slow down the spread of the virus. The City of Port Moody has followed, and continues to follow, all federal and provincial recommendations and directives related to COVID19 and public health.
The safety of our residents and employees continues to be our top priority. We have site-specific safety plans in place, as required by WorkSafeBC, and these will continue to be reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis to reflect the most up-to-date municipal and provincial requirements.
