City of Port Moody releases free Community Guide for 2015
The City of Port Moody is pleased to present its first edition of the Port Moody Community Guide which provides residents with information about City programs and services in a practical, easy-to-read and user-friendly format.
The magazine-styled publication features stunning photography, engaging stories, and creative graphic elements. Port Moody is a great place to live, work and play and the City’s new Community Guide shows why. There’s something for every resident as well as anyone interested in learning more about life in Port Moody:
- Hidden gems and favourite activities that are unique to Port Moody;
- Active living ideas to encourage folks to explore our natural environment and heritage character;
- An event calendar with fun things to do all year round;
- Council 101 - a primer on civic affairs;
- Profiles of City services that residents frequently access or ask about; and
- Money matters to explain City finances in plain language.
There’s also fast facts & figures, a map of amenities and directory of City services.
Residents can find the guide at City facilities – City Hall, Library, Recreation Complex and Kyle Centre. It will also be available at community spots such as the Port Moody Arts Centre, Port Moody Museum, Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce and several local business establishments. Pick up your copy today!
The Port Moody Community Guide was developed and designed in-house by the City’s Corporate Communications Division, and is expected to be used as a reference throughout the coming year.
