Apply today to be a vendor at Port Moody’s Car-Free Day on August 18

Car-Free Day is back! Port Moody businesses are invited to apply to be a vendor at this vibrant community celebration filled with local businesses and artisans, delicious food, live music, and activities for all ages. Car-Free Day will take place on St. Johns Street, between Queens and Moody streets, on August 18, 2024 from 12 noon to 5pm.
“We are so pleased to welcome Car-Free Day back to St. Johns Street and to invite Port Moody businesses to participate as vendors,” says Mayor Meghan Lahti. “One of our goals in hosting this popular event is to celebrate and show support for our business community. We encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity to showcase your organization to thousands of Car-Free Day attendees.”
Vendors must be based in Port Moody and hold a valid 2024 business license issued by the City of Port Moody. The application deadline is Monday, June 17, 2024. The fee for a 10-foot by 10-foot vendor space is $50 plus tax. The space includes one table and two chairs. Additional fees will apply if you request add-ons such as electricity, a tent, or an extra table. Please visit portmoody.ca/carfreeday for more information and to submit a vendor application form online.
Car-free days take place across the country and aim to inspire people to get out of their cars, interact with each other, and explore alternative modes of transportation. The City of Port Moody would like to thank our 2024 Car-Free Day partners, TransLink and Tri-City News.
Please note that on August 18, 2024, St. Johns Street, between Douglas and Moody streets, will be closed to all vehicle traffic from 6am to 10pm.
