A message to Port Moody residents about City facilities, programs and services

On May 6, 2020, the provincial government announced a plan to lift COVID-19 restrictions in phases, starting in mid-May, to gradually allow for more social and economic activity, while closely monitoring health information to minimize the risk to the public.

Staff working in the City of Port Moody’s Emergency Operations Centre are reviewing the information from the Province carefully and starting to work on a phased plan to re-open civic facilities and resume disrupted services and programs where possible.

We want you to know that the safety of our residents and our employees continues to be our top priority. As we develop our plan, we will carefully consider when and how we can resume programs and services while meeting physical distancing requirements and following any directives or safety recommendations issued by the provincial government. This plan will take time to develop and put into place so we thank you for your patience. As we make decisions, we will communicate them to you through our website and social media.

We’re continuously monitoring information about COVID-19 coming from public health authorities, and will make decisions about re-opening our city services with your health and safety in mind. Visit portmoody.ca/covid19 regularly to stay up to date.
