At a gala held at City Hall October 20, Port Moody recognized local businesses that made an impression on members of the community this year.

“We received a record 950 nominations for 114 businesses in eight categories,” said Councillor Rick Glumac, Chair of the Economic Development Committee. “Port Moody businesses are a vital part of our community, and the Spike Business Awards are a great way to recognize their hard work. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners.”

“It’s important to celebrate the dedication and creativity of our local businesses,” said Mayor Mike Clay. “They help shape our community, and make Port Moody such a fantastic place to live and work.”

The Spike Business Awards celebrate the contribution of small businesses to the local community, and are presented each year during Small Business Week in Canada. The City of Port Moody Economic Development Committee selects the winners, based on nominations received from the public.
