CleanBC Multi-Unit Residential Building (MURB) Retrofit Program |
New rebates and support were introduced in September 2024 through the Multi-Unit Residential Building Retrofit Program, offered in partnership by BC Hydro and the Government of B.C. BC Hydro offers several seasonal incentives and rebates for products that improve the energy efficiency and comfort of your home.

BC Hydro EV charging infrastructure rebates |
BC Hydro is offering a program to help owners to install EV charging equipment in apartments, condos, and townhome complexes. The programs include an EV charger rebate offer, as well as EV Ready rebates, which help subsidize the cost of planning and installing the necessary electrical infrastructure to support the building's current or future EV charging needs.
Condos and apartments looking to install EV chargers can also get up to five hours of free advice and planning assistance from an expert in EV charging and equipment.

BC Hydro solar panel and battery storage system rebate |
As of July 23, 2024, BC Hydro is offering rebates up to $5,000 on eligible grid-connected solar panels and up to an additional $5,000 for battery storage systems to qualifying residential customers. You can install solar panels or a battery, or both to maximize the value of your project and your rebate. Click the link below for specific rebate amounts, eligibility, and how to apply. |

The SCRAP-IT program offers several incentives and immediate cash rebates, in exchange for your scrap vehicle.

CleanBC Free home energy coach support |
CleanBC offers a free Energy Coach Service available through email or phone if you have questions about specific rebate programs, home energy upgrade options, EnerGuide home evaluations, or if you just don’t know where to start. The energy assessment will rate the efficiency of your home and provide recommendations for retrofits based on their effectiveness for improving your home energy efficiency, reducing your home greenhouse gas footprint and enhancing your home comfort. New rebate for EV power management devices |
BC Hydro is offering a $200 rebate for eligible single-family home customers who install an EV power management device to avoid electrical service upgrades when adding a Level 2 EV charger at home. This initiative, starting on December 1, 2023, aims to support the adoption of electric vehicles by making the installation of necessary infrastructure more affordable.
