Permit requirements

If you're building a new home, renovating your current home, or adding a structure to your property, you need to apply for a building permit. All building and home renovations in Port Moody are regulated by the City's Zoning Bylaw. Building Codes and Standards

BC Codes 2024 take effect March 8, 2024, except for adaptable dwelling and earthquake changes which take effect March 10, 2025. Use this link to review the 2024 Codes.
