TransLink's Trip Diary Survey: coming Fall 2023

The City of Port Moody would like to inform residents about an important initiative from TransLink – the Trip Diary survey. This survey is conducted every five years and will start again in September 2023.

Understanding the Trip Diary

The Trip Diary is one of the key tools used to plan and prioritize transportation improvements – everything from roads, cycling, walking infrastructure to transit services. The data collected helps to better understand the experiences and needs of residents and how the transportation system can be better planned to meet those needs. For a clearer picture, we invite you to watch this video shared by TransLink.

How you can get involved

Starting in early September, Ipsos will mail invitation letters to randomly selected households. If your household receives an invitation, we encourage you to participate in this opportunity to represent Port Moody and influence transportation planning for the entire region.

TransLink assures that personal details shared during the survey will remain confidential, reserved strictly for transportation research and planning.
