Are you considering an outdoor mural for your place of business?  If yes, you will need to apply for a mural permit.  To get started, please review the guidelines that will help ensure that the mural process goes smoothly for you from start to finish.

Apply for a permit

You will need to provide the following information on your application:

  • Applicant and/or property owner name, and property management company (if applicable)
  • Mural site address including business licence number
  • Artist's name (if known)
  • Mural details along with an image of the design

To start the permit process please complete the online Mural Permit Application.

We will notify you of the status of your application following our review.  Please allow for up to three weeks for the review process.

Additional permits

A Highway Use Permit may be required should the artist need to access City property in creating the mural. Be sure to select the Minor Request type on the Highway Use Permit Application. For current Highway Use Permit fees please refer to the Fees Bylaw.
