Heritage resources are a key component of Port Moody's identity. Many people, places, and events have contributed to the development of the City's history.

One way that Port Moody commemorates the community's rich history is through a variety of heritage conservation initiatives. We protect important historical properties and areas through heritage property designations and Heritage Conservation Areas. We also celebrate our past by putting up commemorative stone markers and storyboards throughout the city. Use the Port Moody Heritage and Public Art Guide to walk through the city and explore stone markers, storyboards, and all of the properties on our Heritage Register, and in our Heritage Conservation Areas.

The Faces of Clarke Street Project

Faces of Clarke

The Faces of Clarke Street project provides a unique way to explore the historic centre of Port Moody. Created by 2023 summer students Carissa and Joshmar, this digital, self-guided walking tour is an exploration of the history of Clarke Street and the people that make up its community today.
