Elvis ’68 Comeback Special
In 1968, after 7 years of making movies, Elvis Presley was presented with the challenge of coming back. Having been lost in the British Invasion and psychedelic movement, Elvis' career had grown stale, the world had changed. He had to find his way home, and stepping on the stage in black leather biker outfit, he sang his heart out, performing like a panther and singing the songs that made him the King of Rock 'n Roll and taking back his career. The landmark TV Special, simply called 'Elvis' was 1968's highest rated television special and led Elvis back to performing, and to where he felt most at home: ON STAGE.
Now, in 2015, award winning Elvis Tribute Artist, Eli Williams, and the all-star band the Memphis Sound will recreate the entire special, start to finish, in a multimedia extravaganza not to be missed. The music, the character, the mood, the life that was the Elvis Comeback Special. This is 68: The Show!
