Art at Council November 14, 2017 - City's Annual Art Purchase
The Port Moody Art Association recently celebrated its 50th Annual Art Show & Sale at the Recreation Complex. As part of the City’s annual art purchase policy staff were once again thrilled with the opportunity to select this year’s artwork. The selection of paintings is done by division on a rotating bases. This year, Communications staff selected 3 very unique pieces bringing the City’s private collection to 88.
A landscape oil painting by Irene Giesbrecht’s titled Pitt River Evening, a nightscape oil painting by Lanni Sulje tilted The Dikes at Night, and a nature-scape acrylic painting by Barb Krell, titled Whytecliff Park.
The paintings are proudly hung in the Communications offices here in City Hall.
