Art 4 Life is an exhibition, with art, activities and events geared to the young and the young at heart. For our 4th Art 4 Life we will celebrate visual, literary and performing arts as well as tying in some science and technology. The centrepiece is a four week exhibition with events, workshops and programming that will compliment Art 4 Life goals.
The Port Moody Arts Centre is inviting artists in all media to explore themes in their work that would appeal to children. The call is for a multi-artist exhibition of 2D and 3D artwork, as well as participatory features that are geared to a young audience (less than 13 years). The purpose of the exhibition and the related events is to inspire and engage children while raising opportunities for active participation, discussion, cultural awareness and lessons on art appreciation. The benefits of an arts education affect every area of life and we want it to be a lifelong journey.
