Art at Council May 12, 2015 - Jenny Kim
Jenny Kim is a a talented Port Moody high school student. She is planning on attending university to pursue her passion in film and visual arts. Jenny started drawing at a very young age and in high school was introduced to painting, which is now her preferred medium.
Anchored is Jenny's third acrylic piece and the style is influenced by Ryan Hewett a South African painter.
Art allows me to express my feelings in ways that words cannot. I love how even my most negative thoughts can be used to create something beautiful. Some concepts and ideas present in my artwork are on overcoming anxiety, homogeneity, freedom and hope. I enjoy working with acrylic, watercolour, charcoal and graphite.
You can watch the Regular Meeting of Council in the window below. Art at Council begins at the the 33 second mark of the video.
