Objective: Increase public art installations.
Þ Create a large-scale public art installation at the Civic Centre to celebrate the City's centennial.
Þ Propose a change to the existing policy of 1% allocation of funding of qualifying capital projects for public art to a flat annual dollar amount or a fixed percentage of all capital projects.
Þ Continue to encourage the provision of public art as part of the development review process.
Þ Propose a movement towards requiring public art as part of all new developments.
Þ Review and update the Public Art Policy and the Public Visual Art Master Plan.
Þ Continue to seek partnership opportunities with other organizations such as the Vancouver Biennale.

Objective: Strengthen marketing tools for arts and culture
Þ Redevelop a comprehensive cultural services section on the City website.
Objective: Consistently support artistic endeavours
Þ Continue to ensure local artists have opportunities to compete for public art installations, programs and events
Goal: Support the Arts Centre, Museum, Inlet Theatre and cultural events, concerts and performances
Objective: Facilitate cultural learning and diversity in the community.
Þ Maintain productive relationships with community cultural programming providers.
Þ Continue to provide core funding to key arts and heritage organizations such as the Arts Centre Society, Heritage Society/Station Museum and ArtsConnect.
Þ Provide support to new cultural events that benefit the community, with a view of assisting groups in becoming independent.
Þ Continue to provide in-kind support to cultural groups who present major Port Moody festivals and events.
