The City of Port Moody is moving heritage home from Clarke St. to Kyle St. the night of July 6
Posted Date: July 04, 2012
Centennial House/Appleyard House is a heritage home currently located at 2714 Clarke Street. On Friday, July 6, the City of Port Moody is moving the house to 126 Kyle Street. Prepping the house for moving will begin at 7pm on Friday, after the evening rush hour. The actual move starts at midnight, and goes until approximately 6am on Saturday morning.

The house will move south down Moody Street, west along St. Johns Street, then left up Kyle Street. We’re relocating the house at night to minimize traffic impacts, however expect periodic road closures along this route throughout the evening.

If power needs to be temporarily disconnected, affected households will receive a notice from B.C. Hydro 24 hours before the outage. Residents can also expect a minor amount of noise.

We appreciate your patience during this move, and will do our best to minimize any inconvenience. Find more information on Centennial House/Appleyard House on the City’s website.
