Rocky Point Playground opening invitation

The City of Port Moody invites residents to celebrate the opening of the new playground at Rocky Point Park (2800-block of Murray Street) from 2pm to 3pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Join us for a brief ceremony with the Acting Mayor and members of Council, followed by light refreshments and face-painting for the kids.

The new playground, which has been open for public use since May 10, 2019, features a ship-themed play structure with a metal slide, a play structure with side-by-side toddler slides, swings, and other fun elements like musical chimes, ladders, rockers, and balance logs. The play equipment is intended for children between the ages of two and 12, and includes components for children of all abilities.

The new playground, funded through the City’s asset management program, replaces the previous play equipment, which was at the end of its useful life. The design meets current Canadian Standards Association standards for public playgrounds.
