Port Moody invites residents to enjoy 2nd annual Holiday Cheer at the Pier on December 1
Port Moody invites residents to enjoy the City’s second annual Holiday Cheer at the Pier on December 1, 2018. This free event for all ages runs from 6 to 8pm at Rocky Point Pier and Boat Launch (2800 block of Murray Street), with festive lights switched on at 6:30pm.
Help us celebrate the holiday season! Starting at 6pm, join your friends and neighbours at the gazebo by the pier for hot chocolate and a sugar cookie. Listen to carol singers, ride the Candy Cane mini train, and write a letter to Santa.
At 6:30pm, Mayor Rob Vagramov will flip a switch to light up the pier and gazebo for all to enjoy. This festive illumination will light the way for our special guest, Santa Claus, who will visit with the children, hand out candy canes, and pose for pictures. Holiday Cheer at the Pier wraps up at 8pm, when Santa heads back to the North Pole to feed his reindeer.
Port Moody Fire Rescue will be at Holiday Cheer at the Pier collecting new, unwrapped toys for their 2018 Toy Drive. Please consider making a donation, as all toys collected will go to SHARE Family and Community Services to help make the holidays a little brighter for families in need.
Holiday Cheer at the Pier is an outdoor event, so please dress for the weather. Parking at Rocky Point Park will be limited. Please consider leaving your car at home and walking or taking public transit instead.
