2018 Heritage Week

When: Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 11am to 3pm
Where: Civic Centre (100 Newport Drive), Port Moody Station Museum (2734 Murray Street), and Clarke Street
Cost: All activities are free!

Celebrate Heritage Day in Port Moody with family-friendly activities at the Civic Centre and walking tours along historic Clarke Street. Bring the whole family down to the Civic Centre to experience a variety of free activities and entertainment. Enjoy performances by The Squares Barbershop Quartet, Beauty Shop Dolls, and children’s entertainer The Ta-Daa Lady. Play old-fashioned games and get your photo taken with vintage props in a black-and-white photo booth. When it’s time for a snack, enjoy complimentary popcorn or buy some “Hugs” (gourmet mini donuts) from the Mollie’s Minis food truck.

Check out vintage vehicles, including a 1957 bus (in service in Victoria and Abbotsford until 1990), which has been turned into a transit museum. Hop on a shuttle bus at the Civic Centre, and hop off at one or both stops: the Port Moody Station Museum; and Clarke Street, where hourly walking tours will take place starting at 11:30am.
