The City of Port Moody values the importance of accessible art in the community. We actively pursue a program of the placement of art in public spaces, ranging from buildings such as the City Hall, to parks, walkways, and greenspaces.
Port Moody defines public art as artwork which is accessible to the public and has aesthetic qualities. The artwork can be permanent, semi-permanent, functional, temporary, and includes all forms of art. Public art shows our commitment to local artists and to providing our citizens with access to art from British Columbia, Canada and around the world.
The City's Public Art inventory has been divided into 7 categories and can be viewed online.
