Two species of deer are common in Port Moody: Columbia Black Tailed and Mule. Deer caution signs are located on many roads throughout the city.
Deer tend to move into the lower elevations in winter and back up the mountainside in summer.
To avoid car-deer collisions use caution when traveling by road at night, use high beams and slow down.
To deter deer from your garden use a motion-activated sprinkler or plant vegetation that deer don't like. |
