On December 1, join your friends and neighbours at Rocky Point Park to celebrate the holiday season. Make your way to the gazebo by the pier at 6pm, and warm up with some hot chocolate while you listen to carol singers (feel free to sing along). Ride the holiday mini train with your children or grandchildren, and help the kids write a letter to Santa. Also, be sure to bring a new, unwrapped toy for Port Moody Fire-Rescue’s Toy Drive.
This event is free and runs 6 to 8pm!
At 6:30pm, we will flip a switch to light up the pier and gazebo for all to enjoy. This festive illumination will light the way for our special guest, Santa Claus, who will hand out candy canes, and pose for pictures.
We're hoping to see Carol Ships again this year, however that is dependent on tides and weather.
Holiday Cheer at the Pier wraps up at 8pm, when Santa heads back to the North Pole to feed his reindeer.
Look for holiday lights around town! Holiday Cheer at the Pier is part of a project to illuminate key areas of the city during the holiday season. From the end of November until January 15, you’ll see festive lights along Clarke and St. Johns streets, and at Rocky Point Park and the Port Moody Arts Centre. We encourage local businesses to add holiday lights to their storefronts and post a photo to social media (#PoMoLights). Details here
