 gatensbury public consultation Gatensbury Road Improvement Project
The City of Port Moody plans to start road and utility works on Gatensbury Road in 2018, if approved by Council as proposed in the 2018 budget. This investment in our infrastructure will improve safety for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians, and help us ensure consistent and safe operations of the utilities that serve Port Moody residents.
Ioco lands

Options for a Potential Ioco Lands Connector Route.
The Ioco Lands Connector Options Study was presented at the July 10, 2018 Regular Meeting of Council, 7pm, Council Chambers. At the meeting, the following resolution was passed:

THAT the report dated June 29, 2018 from the Engineering and Operations Department – Engineering Division regarding Ioco Lands Connector Options Study be received for information.

Citizen Survey
The results of the City of Port Moody 2018 Citizen Survey are in! Ninety-eight per cent of Port Moody residents rate their overall quality of life as “good” or “very good,” according to the City of Port Moody 2018 Citizen Survey. This rating has remained constant, at 98 or 99 per cent, over the last three surveys dating back to 2012. We'd like to thank everyone who took the time to participate in the survey.

Port Moody’s existing Zoning Bylaw was adopted in 1988 and has not undergone a comprehensive review since that time. Updating and modernizing the Zoning Bylaw will allow us to deliver efficient customer service and provide a document that is clear and accessible to property owners, developers, and the public.

2018 Budget Consultation
Thank you to all who participated in the 2017 Budget Consultation. The feedback received from the community was included in the development of the 2017–2021 Financial Plan.

Review of One-Family Residential (RS1) Zoning in Glenayre

In response to community concerns about large homes and changing neighbourhood character, the City is exploring changes to the RS1 (One-Family Residential) zoning in Glenayre. Potential zoning revisions include reducing the permitted height, coverage and floor area of new homes, restricting front yard fences, and increasing side yard setbacks and landscaping requirements.

Flavelle Mill Site

Flavelle Oceanfront Development has applied to the City to amend the Official Community Plan (OCP) designation for the Flavelle Mill property from General Industrial to Mixed Use – Oceanfront District. On July 27, 2017, Council voted in favour of giving the amendment third reading and referred it to Metro Vancouver.

Moody Centre Station Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Area Plan
Our community is changing. The City of Port Moody wants to create compact, walkable, mixed-use neighbourhoods that support transit around the new SkyTrain stations. Developing an updated plan for the Moody Centre Station Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Area is one of Council’s strategic priorities.

Coronation park consultation Coronation Park Neighbourhood Plan
Developing a neighbourhood plan for Coronation Park in Port Moody is one of Council’s strategic priorities. We've held two open houses and two community engagement sessions. At a January 17, 2017 Committee of the Whole meeting, Council endorsed the Recommended Land Use Concept for the Coronation Park Neighbourhood Plan.
