General Park Use

If you are looking to gather in a Port Moody park (and do not require one of the shelters listed below), and if your group attendance will be more than 50 people, you are required to request written permission from the Parks Division. The Manager of Parks reviews requests and issues written permission if the request is approved. For further information regarding general park space permission call 604.469.4676

Terms of Use:

  • Permission does not guarantee exclusive use of a specific space. If the area you wish to use is being used by other park users, we request that you find a suitable alternate spot.
  • Only one user group per day is given consent to use a park area. Holding a space for later in the day is not permitted.
  • Please adhere to the posted parking regulations. Parking can be an issue, so think about carpooling with your large group.
  • Here are the detailed rules and regulations for using parks and community facilities.

The City of Port Moody Cultural Services Department oversees the rentals of Rocky Point Park Stage.

Rocky Point Park Stage is rented out for small private functions (wedding ceremonies for example) between October 1st and May 31st, on a first-come, first-serve basis. The stage is rented in one singular two (2) hour duration and current Fees Bylaw rental charges apply.

Prior to determining the possible use of the stage, the Cultural Services Department will ensure that the Park or Picnic Shelters have not already been approved for use by another group, as only one user group per day is permitted in the area. Rental of Rocky Point Park Stage is confirmed when a rental contract is signed by the Licensee, and the damage deposit has been paid in full. Deposits are non-refundable if an event is cancelled less than 90 days from the event date. Renal payment is due 30 days prior to the rental date.

Please note: Should a renter wish to use part of the Park beyond the area immediately surrounding the stage, additional approval will be required and this will be discussed at the time of booking. Please refer to the rules and regulations for using parks and community facilities further on this page.
