 Trans Canada Trail

The Trans Canada Trail is the world’s longest recreational trail, stretching from coast to coast to coast. It is made up of hundreds of local trails, which form one route all across Canada.

The Trans Canada Trail in Port Moody

The southern portion of the trail forms part of the Trans Canada Trail network. The trail continues westward from Rocky Point Park over the Moody Street overpass, along Clarke Street, to Douglas Street near Andres Wines, then runs between Barnet Highway and the CP Rail tracks until it nears Reed Point Marina. The trail then crosses the highway and goes up the northeast side of Burnaby Mountain to Simon Fraser University.

At the eastern edge of the Shoreline Park System the Trans Canada Trail makes its way through the Town Centre sports fields, behind the tennis courts & City Hall, across Knowle Street through Pioneer Memorial Park, then passes through Newport Village and connects with Ungless Way near Eagle Ridge Hospital and finally to Guildford and into Coquitlam
