Come celebrate Canada's 150th birthday in Port Moody this July 1!

Spend the day at beautiful Rocky Point Park and join us in the City’s Canada 150 Zone! Hang out with our energetic Recreation staff playing games and winning prizes, join in a community art project with one of our community partners and try your hand at ring toss and mini-golf.

9pm at the PCT Performance Stage
The City of Port Moody presents Canadian Rock legend Trooper as the headline performer for Canada 150 celebrations at the Golden Spike Days Festival in Rocky Point Park. Trooper released their first album in 1975, and would go on to have a string of hits in Canada, including “We’re Here for a Good Time,” “Two for the Show,” and “Raise a Little Hell.” Learn more about the band.

 Fireworks

10:30pm (following Trooper) over Burrard Inlet
Join us for a spectacular fireworks show over the beautiful Burrard Inlet following the Trooper concert. We’re bringing the award winning Archangel Fireworks team back to Port Moody to wrap-up this special Canada Day celebration.

 How to get to Rocky Point Park

By bus: A number of Community Shuttles run to Rocky Point Park. Plan your trip with TransLink’s Trip Planner.

    skytrain icon
    By SkyTrain: Get off at the Moody Centre SkyTrain Station, then walk up and over the Moody Street Overpass into Rocky Point Park.

     car icon By car: Parking will be extremely busy near Rocky Point Park. There will be overflow parking at Inlet Field Park in the 3000 block of Murray Street.
     bicycle icon By bike: A bike valet service will be provided.

     Boat Launch Details

    The Rocky Point boat launch and adjacent boat trailer parking lot will be closed to all traffic July 1. The closure will begin at 6am on Saturday, July 1 and the area will reopen to regular traffic early Sunday morning. If you are planning to launch your boat prior to the closure please be sure to park in an alternate designated parking spot. Vehicles and trailers left in the boat launch parking lot after 6am on July 1 will be towed at the owners expense.

     Golden Spike Days

    golden spike day thumbDon't forget to check out Golden Spike Days. The event runs Friday June 30 to Monday July 3. Make sure to attend the patriotic ceremony at 1pm on July 1, and pick up a cupcake from Council at approximately 1:30pm.
