Culture Days weekend is upon us so it’s time to venture out into Port Moody to check out some of the City’s public art, and have some fun along the way!
There are two different scavenger hunts; choose your route, find the artwork using the attached Heritage + Public Art Guide, and answer the questions. When you’re done, submit your answers for a chance to win a prize. Email your answers to email@example.com no later than Monday, October 3 at 5pm. Prize winners will be contacted by email.
For additional chances to win, dress up in your favourite costume, take a selfie next to a piece of public art, and tweet about the scavenger hunt. Be sure to use #pomoscavenger and tag @PoMoCulture.
You will need:
- Port Moody Film Society - $20 Gift Certificate (1 person's membership and 3 films, or 2 memberships and 1 film each)

What is Culture Days?
Culture Days is a collaborative Canada-wide, volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.
Every year, on the Culture Days weekend, thousands of artists, individuals, organizations and communities offer free, hands-on, interactive activities that invite the public to participate “behind the scenes,” to discover the world of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators, and designers at work. Go to www.culturedays.ca for events happening across Canada!
What we did in 2015: The City hosted its first-ever Day of Arts celebration. The afternoon event showcased visual artists, musicians, performers, plus samples of tasty food and beverages.
What we did in 2014: The City hosted a wide range of free cultural experiences including a display of how public art comes to be in Port Moody, a subversive collection of banned books at the Port Moody Public Library, a behind-the-scenes tour of Inlet Theatre, an interactive public art piece, and the onsite filming of a 1 minute movie titled Company Policy, by Leo Award-winning filmmaker, and founder of The Young Actors Project, Robert Randall.
