What is Culture Days?
Culture Days is a collaborative Canada-wide, volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.
Every year, on the Culture Days weekend, thousands of artists, individuals, organizations and communities offer free, hands-on, interactive activities that invite the public to participate “behind the scenes,” to discover the world of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators, and designers at work. Go to www.culturedays.ca for events happening across Canada!

What we did in the Past
In 2017: The 2016 Scavenger Hunt was such a success the City decided to organized its second annual Scavenger Hunt. This time the route took participants to Moody Centre where we incorporated public art, historical information and some very interesting "Did You Know" facts. City swag was randomly awarded to participants that took part in the quiz and bonus riddle.
In 2016: The City organized its first Public Art Scavenger Hunt. Participants had a map, 2 routes to choose from, and a list of questions. Prizes were randomly awarded to everyone that joined in the fun.
In 2015: The City hosted its first-ever Day of Arts celebration. The afternoon event showcased visual artists, musicians, performers, plus samples of tasty food and beverages from local vendors.
In 2014: The City hosted a wide range of free cultural experiences including a display of how public art comes to be in Port Moody, a subversive collection of banned books at the Port Moody Public Library, a behind-the-scenes tour of Inlet Theatre, an interactive public art piece, and the onsite filming of a 1 minute movie titled Company Policy, by Leo Award-winning filmmaker, and founder of The Young Actors Project, Robert Randall.
