The City of Port Moody believes that participation in recreation activities benefits all individuals in the community. The Leisure Access Program provides low-income Port Moody residents with access to recreation programs and services at a reduced cost.

. If you are eligible under the income guidelines, you may submit the completed application form with copies of the applicable documents in the “Checklist” to the Recreation Complex or Kyle Centre
during their hours of operation, or email the package to firstname.lastname@example.org
. Application forms are also available at the centres.
For residents with a disability who qualify financially and require the use of leisure facilities not available in Port Moody (for example, aquatic centre), the completed application form must be submitted to the Recreation Complex office with the eligibility documents, and a doctor’s note.
Supervisory staff will contact you within three weeks of submission to discuss your application. Once approved, each member of your family will be required to have their photo taken at the Recreation Complex
for their Leisure Access card. The card will have an expiry date of up to one year from the time of approval. Cardholders must re-apply at least one month prior to the expiry date on your card. Please see additional details in the attached Conditions of Use
The following discounts will apply:
• 50% off the posted admission rate for the cardholder’s age category. This applies to drop-ins, strip tickets and fitness memberships.
• 50% off up to four registered programs per cardholder, per year. Discount does not apply to materials or supplies.
• 50% off up to two weeks of summer all-day camps per eligible family member.
• Free skate and helmet rentals at time of admission or during the registered program.
REQUESTS BY GROUP HOMES, INSTITUTIONS AND NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
Applications for Leisure Access for persons residing in Port Moody facilities must be made in the name of the individual resident. Applications can be made by the sponsoring agency for residents who do not receive subsidies from other levels of government for leisure activities.
