Flavell mill site

Flavelle Oceanfront Development has applied to the City to amend the Official Community Plan (OCP) designation for the Flavelle Mill property from General Industrial to Mixed Use – Oceanfront District.

  July 27, 2017 Council gave bylaw third reading and referred it to Metro Vancouver

A public hearing for Bylaw No. 3087 went ahead at the Regular Meeting of Council on July 25, 2017. At a Special Meeting of Council on July 27, 2017, Council voted in favour of giving the bylaw third reading and referred it to Metro Vancouver. Council has requested that Metro Vancouver amend the Regional Growth Strategy by changing the land use designation of the Flavelle Mill Site from Industrial to General Urban. If Metro Vancouver approves the request, Council will consider final adoption of the bylaw.

OCP Amendment Bylaw No. 3087 for Flavelle Oceanfront Development received First and Second Readings by Council on June 27, 2017. A Public Hearing for Bylaw No. 3087 is scheduled for July 25, 2017.

The City of Port Moody held a public open house to present results from the Flavelle Oceanfront Development public engagement, their vision for the property, and their preliminary land use plan. Over 200 people attended the Open House held at Port Moody City Hall.
