Open Fire Ban Lifted - Sept. 1, 2015

“Based on the recent and continuing rainfall, cooler temperatures and long term weather forecast and in conjunction with the Coastal Fire Centre, Port Moody Fire Chief Remo Faedo has lifted the Open Fire Burning Restriction in Port Moody.

We urge everyone continued caution around open flames near wooded areas especially when disposing of BBQ charcoal and would like to remind everyone that smoking is not permitted in City parks at any time.

We’d like to thank everyone for observing the fire ban and doing their part to keep Port Moody parks and neighbourhoods safe this summer. “

Port Moody Fire-Rescue prevents or minimizes the loss of life and property from fire and natural or man-made emergencies. The department also conducts public education, safety and fire prevention programs.
