The City’s Planning staff have completed a preliminary technical review of the existing bylaw. Now we want to hear what you have to say on the proposed changes in three themed areas:

  • Complete Community (preserving heritage character and encouraging uses to meet community needs).
  • Environment (protecting streams and encouraging sustainable buildings); and
  • Transit Oriented Development (creating compact, walkable, mixed-use communities around SkyTrain stations)

Structuring public consultation around these themes allows for sharing information in a way that is more effective and easy to understand. It also allows us to gather focused public input.

Throughout 2017, staff will bring forward various components of the Zoning Bylaw Review for Council consideration. If supported by Council, they will be brought to a Public Hearing for public feedback, prior to adoption.

See our events calendar for upcoming opportunities to let us know what you think.
