Nomination packages for the City of Port Moody’s General Local Election on November 15, 2014 will be available at City Hall beginning Friday, August 22, 2014.

FORMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE OFFICE OF:
  • One Mayor
  • Six Councillors
  • Two School Trustees 
NOMINATION DOCUMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK-UP AT:
City of Port Moody, City Hall, Legislative Services
1st Floor, 100 Newport Drive, Port Moody, BC

QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE:
A person is qualified to be nominated, elected, and to hold office as a Mayor, Councillor or School Trustee if they meet the following criteria:
  1. Age 18 or older; and
  2. A Canadian citizen; and
  3. A resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months immediately before the day nomination papers are filed; and
  4. Not disqualified by the Local Government Act or any other enactment from voting in an election in British Columbia or from being nominated for, being elected to, or holding office.

Deadline for submission of nomination papers is 4pm October 10, 2014.
